Inspired by...Parasols and Paper Lanterns

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Parasols are reminiscent of romance, warm weather and afternoon strolls through the garden. They are lovely and delicate while also being useful and eye-catching. The exact same thing can be said for paper lanterns. Nothing says a summer wedding like these two items. They can be elegant and simple or eclectic and colorful. The Wedding Chicks agree and even suggested the perfect Web site for all you DIY brides out there to seek out these decorations and more for super low prices. The site is called Luna Bazaar and, wow, the name really does say it all! There are 30-plus colors of paper parasols and 375-plus paper lanterns to choose from as well as ornaments, center pieces, place card holders, clutches...the list goes on. Just check it out. We promise, you won't be disappointed.

Also, our friend at Haute Papier just introduced us to some absolutely gorgeous paper decorations that are like these round bursts of color and happiness.

Another great resource for paper lanterns - and you can actually go to the physical store in NYC to check them out - is Pearl River. This is where we got a whole cache of beautiful blue and white paper lanterns for a wedding we did in Mexico.
Finally, we had to mention how excited we are about a wedding coming up in which guests will be offered parasols (purchased from Luna Bazaar) to provide them with some shade. Be sure to check back with us to see the pictures from this event!

Another source for paper parasols is Etsy, one of our fav sites!
