Hi Raina Dawn Events Blog followers, we wanted to check in as you can see we have been busy here at Raina Dawn Events as we recently launched www.NewportWeddingGlam.com!  

We are so excited about the much anticipated launch of Newport Wedding Glam!  NWGlam is a blogsite dedicated to showcasing the glamorous weddings and vendors of Newport, RI and the greater New England area. Headed by event planner Raina Dawn Filippelli, NWGlam aims to be the most reliable, glamorous and up-to-date wedding planning resource for couples marrying in the Newport, Rhode Island and surrounding region. NWGlam is a place to connect brides and vendors, and most of all, a place of bridal inspiration which is unique, fresh and updated constantly!

Every week the NWGlam team works on what we love most, finding and editing elegant and contemporary wedding inspiration while sharing our passion for weddings with all of you. Quite simply, we adore weddings!

You will see some of the same features as on the RDEvents blog, but lots of new features as well with a focus on Newport and New England weddings.  So for all our RDEvents followers I ask you to subscribe and follow us at Newport Wedding Glam.  We will still update RDEvents blog, but only from time to time.  Do stay tuned as we have so fabulous updates to the Raina Dawn Events website coming unjust the next week we will announce here & we will be featuring Donatella Arpaia & Allan Stewarts Wedding that was in the recent issue of Inside Weddings!

The Look: TOMS wedding shoes

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today's post is more of a continuation of one we wrote a few weeks ago about designer wedding shoes. We originally had included this fabulous brand in that post as an unexpected designer shoe choice, but we were so CRAZY about and inspired by TOMS we thought it deserved its own post!

Just because it's labelled "designer" does't mean it has to have an unforgiving heel. So, go ahead and rock a rad (and mercifully comfortable) pair of sparkly sneakers like these on your wedding day or better yet, share the love and give them as gifts to your bridesmaids.

I am excited to say, I actually had one of the first pairs of TOMS when they launched back in 2006. I was working at In Touch Weekly and had launched that publication and Blake, Founder & Chief Shoe Giver was a friend and I assisted in placing some of the first pairs of TOMS shoes in In Touch Weekly. To see the booming success Blake has had with TOMS and how they have hit the bridal scene is very exciting and we here at Raina Dawn Events are especially excited about today's post! To top it off you remember you are giving back and helping children in need. On a day you are likely to spending lots of money on flowers and celebrating, you can feel great about giving back to those so much less fortunate.
